We drive with a car (8 km) to the reindeer farm of the sami family, where we – dressed up in warm clothing – will step in sleighs pulled by a reindeer. Sitting cozy and warm between the reindeer furs we drive reindeers following our guide, the reindeer herder. Enjoy the absolute quietness, which only the tinkling of a reindeer bell can break! The reindeer herder invites us for coffee in his cottage, the restful ride with reindeers and the friendly hospitality of these sincere Lapps is an unforgettable Lappish experience, you will learn about Sami culture and reindeer herding. BARK OF THE HUSKIES
We dress up warmly at the safari office and drive to the husky farm, where we meet the young couple, Sini and Ossi whose cute huskies are already eagerly waiting for the day’s exercise. After the driving school we step in pairs on the sleighs – one sitting in front as a passanger and one standing and driving the team of 6 to 8 dogs. Pairs will take turns in driving as the huskies happily take us through the winter landscape. After coming back to the farm, we’ll have a coffee break by open fire in a wooden cottage and learn more about these huskies, maybe even see some puppies. Duration of the trip approx. 3 h with transfers and visit to the kennel and husky farm. Price 145 € per person. Children 4-14 years -50%. 4 h HUSKY SAFARI
This tour takes you deep in the Lappish wilderness as you balance the dogsleigh through the snowy forest. On the way we give the dogs a well earned break as we enjoy a soup lunch by open fire. Then we continue again answering to the Call of the Wild. Duration 5 h with transfers. Price 185 € person driving 2 persons on sleigh. Daily on request. Daily from December to April.
ON THE TRACKS OF A REINDEER HERDER
After dressing up warmly for the safari and a short driving school we drive on snowmobiles to meet a reindeer herder. At his reindeer farm we will apart meeting his reindeers learn how to drive a reindeer! Every one who passes the test will be given an international reindeer driving licence. By open fire we’ll invited to his old cottage for cup of coffee and Lappish bakery. Satu, the reindeer farmer’s wife will tell us about reindeer herding and Sami culture. Approx. 3 – 3,5 h . INFORMATION CONCERNING OUR ACTIONS RELATING TO THE COVID -19 VIRUS
To be able to quarantee a safe and confortable safari experience we follow and execute the safety guidelines of Finnish government and Lapland hospital district in particular.
We want to secure the health of all our guests and employees, so please do not visit our excursions if you have coronavirus-related symptoms. Our employees are also not allowed to come to work if they show any symptoms.
All our premises have hand disinfectant freely available for both staff and guests. We have enhanced all cleaning and disinfecting in the common spaces. We have enhanced our hygiene-related procedures in particular at all of our premises to minimise the spread of all kinds of viruses. Cleaning of common rooms has been improved, and we are cleaning potential contagious surfaces several times a day. Hand sanitizers are available on our counter for our guests.
• Our balaclavas are washed after each use in hot temperatures. Our snowmobile helmets and shoes, as well as ski bindings and poles are disinficted after every use. • We offer our safari participants overalls, boots, balaclava and helmet and gloves. We do, however, recommend to use your own winter gear, at least own undergloves and balaclavas. • Outdoor activities are a fairly safe way to enjoy the Lappish nature, however we still advice our guests to hold a 1,5- 2 meters distance • Hand disinfectant is freely available at our safari office and wilderness cottages. • We disinfect the equipment after every use with either disinfecting sprays and wipes, or washing them in high temperatures. • Safety information will be held outdoors for outdoor activities • When safety distance is not possible to keep, all of our employees are using masks. We ask our guests to use a mask during the activity transfers. Masks can be bought for a small fee from our safari office. During transfers all our staff will use masks. •
During husky, reindeer or snowmobile sleigh rides you will be seated only next to members of your family or traveling party. We have set small limits to our group sizes .Private tours can always be booked for a surcharge. Please contact our sales team for more information.

If something would happen and you would have to cancel, with us you can cancel even 24 hours before excursion free of charge.
We will keep a record of all participants (name and email address) for 14 days after participating an activity. This is to quarantee a possibility to contact all our guest in case of possible exposure for covid19. We will destroy the record after 14 days.
